| Toreros Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start | Ryan Goldberg never let the Bombers get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Toreros to a 2-1 win. Mike Foust earned the save, his 1st. Every game is important, even these early ones, if the Toreros hope to make a postseason run.
Jose Madrigal aided the Cabo San Lucas cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third. For the game, the left fielder went 1 for 2 with a double.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Cabo San Lucas skipper Cisco Sánchez.
