| Knights Beat Visiting Road Warriors, 8-3 | The skies opened up and the rain fell at Stable Park.
The Kingwood Knights powered past the Westside Road Warriors, 8-3, at Stable Park. Cesar Gonzalez was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3, to lead the charge. Kingwood reliever Mikiya Kubo picked up the win to move to 5-0. Jon Duren suffered the loss.
Gonzalez put Kingwood up, 8-1, when he hit a 3-run home run off Jon Duren in the bottom of the fourth. His 5th home run of the season helped the Knights capture the win.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Gonzalez told the Kingwood Bulletin. "It's as simple as that."
The Knights bumped their record to 30-17 with this latest triumph.
