| Cyclones Raise Rally Flag, Beat Dublin, 6-5 | The Coney Island Cyclones defeated the Dublin Vikings, 6-5, at Coney Island Coliseum. Coney Island first baseman Mario Avila was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Coney Island reliever Stephen Schuller picked up the win to move to 2-0. Luis Herrera suffered the loss. The Cyclones bumped their record to 25-21 with this latest triumph.
Matt Hamm, who is tied for 10th in the LBL in extra base hits with 16, chipped in for Coney Island with a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 RBI.
