| Crosscutters Prevail, 7-6, Over New Orleans | The Williamsport Crosscutters knocked off the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 7-6, at The Republic. Tim Mitchell, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Williamsport won. The second baseman went 4 for 4 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 times. Hidero Ueno finished to wrap up his 8th save. Even with the win, the Crosscutters have a dismal 14-30 record.
This game was not decided until late. With no one out in the top of the ninth, Michael Cantu hit a sacrifice fly. The Crosscutters took the lead, 7-6.
Cantu told a Williamsport Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
