| Road Warriors Top Hornets in Extras | The Bethesda Hornets got a superb performance from pitcher Jesus Pacheco. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Westside. The Road Warriors won the game, 6-4. In spite of the loss, Pacheco was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball. The Road Warriors bumped their record to 22-22 with this latest triumph.
The Road Warriors got a big at-bat from right fielder Mike Brandenburg. For the game, Brandenburg went 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the 11th, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 52nd hit of the season gave Westside a 6-4 lead.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Brandenburg said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
