| Marauders Trounce Earthquakes, 10-2 | Maple starter Mitsunari Kobayashi pitched effectively against the San Francisco Earthquakes at Legends Park. The left-hander led his team to a 10-2 win. Kobayashi got the win, improving to 4-5. He allowed 8 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. Kobayashi allowed 2 earned runs. Maple goes to 24-29, San Francisco to 26-26.
The Marauders got a big at-bat from first baseman Shunso Fukuda. For the game, Fukuda went 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 14th home run of the season gave Maple a 3-2 lead.
