| Panthers Bang Out 10-6 Win Versus St. Paul | Panthers designated hitter Morihiko Eda put his stamp on his team's 10-6 win over the St. Paul Saints. Eda went 1-2 with 3 walks. He scored 2 runs for Charleston in the contest. Rich Neilson closed the game out for Charleston, earning his 1st save. The Panthers move to 18-24 with the win, while the Saints drop to 9-31.
Cody Bayles had a big run-scoring single for the Panthers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Charleston trailing 6-4 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a sinker from Ismael Herrera and stroked the single to left. It was his 28th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Panthers ahead, 6-5.
"We played hard and won," said Eda. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
