Big Day by Morris Sparks Blazers Win

Bloomington third baseman Jack Morris was instrumental in his team's 10-4 win over the Cabo San Lucas Toreros. Morris, who is tied for 7th in the TML in hits with 63, went 3-5 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Blazers. At 30-22, the Blazers find themselves in second place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.

Jim Obershaw drove in one run for Bloomington. The 28-year old right-handed pitcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Masazumi Ohayashi. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Morris.
