| Mustangs Subdue Winfield, 5-4 | The San Angelo Mustangs defeated the Winfield Warriors, 5-4, in Lyman Bostock League action at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium, with San Angelo first baseman Cory Doucette named player of the game. Jorge Martinez, credited with the win, is now 2-5. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits in 7.1 innings. With the win over Winfield, the Mustangs improved to 18-25.
Doucette had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Mustangs went on to win.
