| Orphans Win at Atlantic City, 6-2 | Orphans catcher Steve Bathurst put his stamp on his team's 6-2 win over the Atlantic City Kings. Bathurst went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Cambridge in the contest. Cambridge reliever David Moreno picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Carlos Hernandez shouldered the loss. Even with the win, the Orphans have a dismal 13-26 record.
Bathurst had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Carlos Hernandez, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Orphans a 5-2 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Bathurst.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Cambridge manager Fernando Padilla.
