| Vikings Clip Jedi Knights, 5-4 | The Victoria Vikings had to overcome a big game from New Orleans right fielder Paul Stasi to leave The Republic with a 5-4 victory. Stasi went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Reliever George Quinn picked up the win. His record improves to 1-1. Esteban García took the loss. The Vikings bumped their record to 27-14 with this latest triumph.
The Vikings got a big at-bat from right fielder Ricky Jara. For the game, Jara was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Victoria a 3-1 lead.
