| Dominant Performance by Taveras in Maple Win | The Maple Marauders racked up a win at Legends Park, bumping off the Vancouver Pioneers, 6-4. Eddie Taveras, who started for Maple, pitched effectively for his team. Maple, now 6-0, is setting the league on fire so far.
Taveras was in midseason form against the Pioneers. He allowed no earned runs on 3 hits and fanned 10 in his 8-inning effort.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Maple manager Davey Morris.
