| Vikings Subdue St. Petersburg, 4-2 | The Dublin Vikings defeated the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 4-2, in Donnie Moore League action at Valhalla Summit, with Dublin pitcher Eddie Pena named player of the game. The winning pitcher was Pena, now 2-4. He tossed 8 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 4. Luis Herrera recorded his 15th save for Dublin.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, second baseman Raul Lucio came through big-time for the Vikings. With Dublin leading 1-0, he belted a 2-run home run.
"We put together a nice win," Pena said.
The Vikings bumped their record to 24-15 with this latest triumph.
