| Tapia Leads Pelicans to Win | The St. Petersburg Pelicans beat the Dublin Vikings, 4-1, at Valhalla Summit. St. Petersburg shortstop David Tapia earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Manny Lima got credit for the win, improving to 5-1. He allowed 1 run on 7 hits in 7.2 innings. The Pelicans bumped their record to 20-19 with this latest triumph.
St. Petersburg grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Tapia hit a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season put the Pelicans out in front, 2-0.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Tapia.
