| Big Day for Bessinger as Road Warriors Down Emeralds, 11-6 | Reagan Bessinger made an impact in the 11-6 Westside win over Eugene. Bessinger, who is tied for 5th in the DML in total bases with 69, went 3-5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Westside reliever Manuel Visser was the winner. His record is now 3-2. The losing pitcher was Donald Cacace. Westside is now 19-20, while Eugene is 18-23.
The Road Warriors got a big at-bat from first baseman Jason Albright. For the game, Albright went 1 for 4 with a walk. In the top of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 26th hit of the season gave Westside a 7-6 lead.
"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Bessinger told a Westside Daily News reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
