| Pelicans Fall to .500 After Loss to Vikings | The Dublin Vikings defeated the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 5-1, in Donnie Moore League action at Valhalla Summit, with Dublin pitcher Austin Augsburger named player of the game. Luis Herrera closed it out for his 14th save. The Vikings, now 23-14, have won 10 in a row.
The Vikings got a big at-bat from right fielder Franklin Gray. For the game, Gray went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 11th hit of the season gave Dublin a 2-1 lead.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Dublin manager Mike Bergeron.
