| Black Squirrels Slip Past Eugene, 3-2 | The Tree City Black Squirrels topped the Eugene Emeralds, 3-2, in Donnie Moore League action at Prefontaine Park. The player of the game was Tree City pitcher and San Juan, Puerto Rico native Jesus Ambriz. Tree City's record now stands at 19-18, placing them second in the Donnie Moore League Tommy Lasorda Division.
Theo Bridger's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a fastball from Jesse Lay for a 2-run home run. It put Tree City in front, 3-2.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Ambriz told the Tree City Observer.
