| Road Warriors Shut Out Princes | Westside Road Warriors starter An-yan Yong turned in a top-notch performance against the Bel Air Princes at Road Warriors Field. The result was a win for the Road Warriors, 3-0. Yong got the win, improving to 2-3. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. Yong allowed no earned runs. The Road Warriors bumped their record to 17-17 with this latest triumph.
Mike Brandenburg was 1-4 with a double for Westside. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Kyle Robbins. It was his 24th RBI of the season.
Yong expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
