| Hornets Prevail, 7-5, Over Eugene | The Bethesda Hornets knocked off the Eugene Emeralds, 7-5, at Hornets Field. Wil Arechiga, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Bethesda won. The left fielder went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Tadakatsu Murayama got credit for the save for Bethesda. It was his 2nd of the year. At 14-20, the Hornets find themselves in 5th place in the Donnie Moore League Tommy Lasorda Division.
Josh Cochran aided the Bethesda cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the center fielder was 1-3. He drove in 2 runs.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Hornets manager Bob Reece. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
