| Knights Prevail, 4-3, Over Coney Island | Kingwood and Coney Island duked it out at Stable Park and the Knights came out victorious.
The Kingwood Knights knocked off the Coney Island Cyclones, 4-3, at Stable Park. Brendan Webb, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Kingwood won. The first baseman was 4 for 4 with 4 singles. Derrick Brown, the winner, improved to 3-0. He held the Cyclones to 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 0.
Webb had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the sixth inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Knights went on to win.
"I really like what we did out there today," Webb said after the game.
The Knights have an impressive 21-13 record.
