| Black Squirrels Edge Past Road Warriors, 4-3 | The Tree City Black Squirrels defeated the Westside Road Warriors, 4-3, at The Nut House today. Leading the charge for Tree City was second baseman Luis Ramirez. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. The Road Warriors, at 16-16, have lost 5 in a row.
Ramirez had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a first pitch fastball from Jake Pendleton, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Black Squirrels a 4-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Ramirez.
"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Lorenzo Rodríguez. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
