| Lake Monsters Subdue Charleston, 6-4 | The Charleston Panthers got a superb performance from first baseman Omar Veliz. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Okanagan. The Lake Monsters won the game, 6-4. In spite of the loss, Veliz was named the player of the game. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Okanagan starter Sean McCarthy was credited with the win after throwing 95 pitches over 5.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-1. Jesús Velásquez recorded his 1st save for Okanagan.
Quentin van Engeland aided the Okanagan cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," van Engeland said.
The Panthers drop to 14-17 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2038 season.
