| Victory Over Cyclones Takes Kingwood to 19-12 | The Kingwood Knights knocked off the Coney Island Cyclones, 9-5, at Stable Park. Tobias Garcia, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Kingwood won. The right fielder went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. Kingwood reliever Mao-you Mi picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-2. Jason O'Neal was collared with the loss. Kingwood, now 19-12, has played well in the early going.
Austin Dodds aided the Kingwood cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder was 1-2 with 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Dodds said.
