| Princes Lose, 9-4, at The Republic | The New Orleans Jedi Knights topped the Bel Air Princes by the score of 9-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Wil Ramos. Ramos was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Jedi Knights on the day. New Orleans reliever Chris Marks was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Fernando Diaz took the loss. Dane Palmer closed the game out for New Orleans, earning his 2nd save.
Ramos contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for New Orleans in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-0, Ramos took a curveball from Fernando Diaz and stroked the home run to right. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Jedi Knights to leap in front, 4-2.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Ramos said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
Losses have been few and far between for the Princes so far this season. Their record drops to 24-6.
