| 6 Straight Wins for Dancin' Outlaws | West Virginia starter Jon Gonzales put a stranglehold on the San Angelo offense. The left-hander had complete command of his slider in leading the Dancin' Outlaws to a 2-1 win. The save was credited to Mike Crawford, his 5th. The Mustangs, now 11-19, continue their poor start.
West Virginia needed the clutch hitting of Alexis Diaz to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Dancin' Outlaws on top, 2-0. For the game, Diaz had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I like the roll we're on right now," said Gonzales after the game.
