| Giesler Hits 2 home runs in Hornets Win | With third baseman Nick Giesler leading the charge, the Bethesda Hornets defeated the Kingwood Knights, 11-7, at Stable Park. Giesler, who is tied for 5th in the DML with a .944 OPS, slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Bethesda reliever Antonio Pichardo got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Alex Castillo was tagged with the loss. Allen Westmoreland, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save.
Giesler had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the first, when he hit a 2-run single. The Hornets went on to win.
"We got the victory," said Giesler. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
The Hornets are off to a tough start, getting just their 12th win in 30 games.
