Rockhounds Lose 1-0 Decision to Hornets

The Eureka Hornets got a stellar effort from pitcher Danny Zomosa, helping Eureka score a 1-0 win over the visiting Midland Rockhounds. The Hornets bumped their record to 31-20 with this latest triumph.

Randy Jesso drove in one run for Eureka. The 25-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Danny Zafra. It was his 1st RBI of the season.

In postgame comments, Zomosa told the Eureka Daily News: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
