| Nichols Helps So Cal Cruise to 11-3 Win | The So Cal Republic downed the San Diego Hops, 11-3, at The Brew Stade. Justin Nichols led the way, going 4-for-5 for So Cal. Dan Garcia got the win, improving to 4-1. He held the Hops to 1 earned run on 2 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 2. The Republic have an impressive 33-21 record.
Nichols had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the top of the seventh inning, when he hit a 2-run double. The Republic went on to win.
Nichols told a So Cal Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
