| Pelicans Score Late to Upend Lake Monsters, 5-3 | Jorge Navarro made an impact in the 5-3 St. Petersburg win over Okanagan. Navarro was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. St. Petersburg reliever Harry Kates picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Mike Moline absorbed the loss. The defending champion Pelicans have struggled a bit to find their groove this season, but improve to 14-14 with the win.
Navarro had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a 2-1 cutter from Avery Diamond, he banged a 2-run double to center, giving the Pelicans a 5-3 lead. It was the 1st double of the year for Navarro.
"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Navarro.
