| Victory Pushes Emeralds Record to 14-14 | The Eugene Emeralds picked up a win at Prefontaine Park, knocking off the Williamsport Crosscutters, 4-2. Starting pitcher Jose Ramirez was an essential part of his team's success. Eugene reliever Brenden Miller was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Tony Wheatley. Jesse Lay picked up the save, his 1st.
The Emeralds got a big at-bat from catcher Chris Sherwin. For the game, Sherwin went 1-4, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 7th hit of the season gave Eugene a 4-2 lead.
Sherwin called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
