| Jedi Knights Get Close Win Over Saints | New Orleans right-hander Chad McClure helped his team edge St. Paul by the score of 2-1. McClure kept the opposing lineup in check. New Orleans reliever Matthew Varga got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Sadao Matsunaga was tagged with the loss. The Saints, now 5-17, continue their slow start.
Hector Garza was the walk-off hero for New Orleans. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Jedi Knights pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"The old adage is true," said Garza. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
