| Hornets Drop Another One | Benefiting from Jeff Cross's productive game, the St. Petersburg Pelicans downed the Bethesda Hornets, 6-2. Cross went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Pelicans. The Hornets fall to 8-16 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2038 season.
With St. Petersburg leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Cross hit a fastball from Luis Ramírez for a bases-clearing double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Pelicans ahead, 4-0.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Cross said.
