| Multi-HR Game for Avila in 8-4 Win | Benefiting from Mario Avila's productive game, the Coney Island Cyclones downed the San Angelo Mustangs, 8-4. Avila went 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Cyclones. Coney Island reliever Alex Sepulveda got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Mike Ramirez was tagged with the loss. The Mustangs fall to 9-15 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2038 season.
The Cyclones got a big at-bat from shortstop Victor Trinidad. For the game, Trinidad was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Coney Island a 3-2 lead.
