| Road Warriors Raise Rally Flag, Beat Cambridge, 3-2 | Westside rode a good effort from starter Chris Hensley to beat the Cambridge Orphans at Road Warriors Field. The final score was 3-2. Westside reliever Manuel Visser picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Josh Brolin took the loss. Getting the save was Ken Maynard, his 3rd.
Had Karl Odom not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Odom hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Road Warriors.
Odom told a Westside Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
At 14-8, the Road Warriors have played well so far.
