Crosscutters Lose to River Chiefs in Walk Off
The Chippewa River Chiefs defeated the Williamsport Crosscutters, 4-3, in Lyman Bostock League action at The Reservation, with Chippewa pitcher Vicente Zavala named player of the game. Chippewa reliever Paul Childers picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Hidero Ueno took the loss. Chippewa, now 12-8, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Kyle Wakeman was the walk-off hero for Chippewa. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the River Chiefs right fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Zavala said after the game.
