| Extra-Inning Win by Lake Monsters over Gnats | The Lake Monsters had to overcome a fine performance from Nichols pitcher Franklin Salinas to grab a 6-4 win at The Pond. Salinas allowed no earned runs over 7 innings. The win was credited to Keon Ford in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Nate Taylor took the loss. Losses have been few and far between for the Gnats, who are now 12-5.
Byron Gill hit a run-scoring double off Nate Taylor in the top of the 13th, which put the Lake Monsters in front, 5-4. In addition to the double, Gill had 1 single, while going 2 for 6.
"The more wins we pile up," said Gill, "the more I like our chances."
