| Knights Win at San Angelo, 5-2 | The Knights had to overcome a fine performance from San Angelo pitcher Mike Ramirez to grab a 5-2 win at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. Ramirez allowed 1 earned run over 7 innings. Zak Osborn recorded his 3rd save for Kingwood. The Mustangs fall to 7-12 and continue their lackluster start to the 2038 season.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the sixth, with the game tied, Cesar Gonzalez was at the plate when Kingwood scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Knights to go in front, 3-2.
Gonzalez told a Kingwood Bulletin reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
