| Multi-HR Day for Cota as Jedi Knights Overpower Cyclones, 9-6 | Getting a good performance from center fielder Bill Cota, the New Orleans Jedi Knights defeated the Coney Island Cyclones, 9-6. Cota went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the Jedi Knights. Matthew Varga finished the game for New Orleans and earned his 2nd save. New Orleans, now 6-9, is off to a slow start.
The Jedi Knights got a big at-bat from designated hitter David Bargas. For the game, Bargas was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs. In the top of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 3rd double of the season gave New Orleans a 4-2 lead.
