| Warriors Clip Knights, 7-6 | The Winfield Warriors topped the Kingwood Knights, 7-6, with youngster Jaime Sweeney playing a key role. Sweeney belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Warriors in the win. Getting the save was Brian Claphan, his 5th. The Knights fall to 7-9 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Sweeney had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the sixth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Warriors went on to win.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Sweeney.
