Alamo goes 3-for-4, Road Warriors Move to 11-5

The Westside Road Warriors topped the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 8-5, in Donnie Moore League action at Billy Mathews Field. The player of the game was Westside left fielder Sergio Alamo. Westside reliever Wilfredo Sandoval was the winner. His record is now 3-1. Tony Cisneros took the loss. The Road Warriors keep rolling, raising their record to 11-5.

Had Ralph Rochell not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Rochell hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Road Warriors.

"We maximized our offense today," said Westside skipper Lorenzo Rodríguez. "That makes everyone's life easier."
