| Dancin' Outlaws Lose, 3-1, at The Nut House | The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws got a sterling performance from pitcher Jon Gonzales, but the Black Squirrels still prevailed, 3-1. Gonzales was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings allowing 3 runs. With the win, Tree City improves its record to 8-9.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the second, with the game tied, Juan Perales was at the plate when Tree City scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Black Squirrels to go in front, 2-1.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Perales told the Tree City Observer.
