| 5-2 Win by Gnats Continues Hot Start | Nichols and New Orleans duked it out at The Republic and the Gnats came out victorious.
The Nichols Gnats got a strong performance from pitcher Mike Denny, who stymied the New Orleans offense en route to a 5-2 win at The Republic. Nichols, at 10-3, has sizzled in the early going.
Jordan Orquiz aided the Nichols cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 4.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Denny.
