| Cyclones Get Road Win, 7-4 | The Coney Island Cyclones topped the Chippewa River Chiefs, 7-4, with youngster Alejandro Nolasco playing a key role. Nolasco was 1-5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Cyclones in the win. Alex Sepulveda got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 3.1 innings. Picking up the save was Stephen Schuller, his 6th.
Nolasco contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Coney Island in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-2, Nolasco took a changeup from Elijah Cooke and stroked the home run to right. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Cyclones to leap in front, 6-4.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Nolasco.
Losses have been few and far between for the River Chiefs so far this season. Their record drops to 8-4.
