| Lake Monsters Come Back Late to Clip Knights | The Kingwood Knights got a superb performance from pitcher Kyle Hoage. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Okanagan. The Lake Monsters won the game, 5-2. In spite of the loss, Hoage was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. Picking up the save was Mike Moline, his 5th. The Lake Monsters keep rolling, raising their record to 9-5.
The game was at a stalemate until left fielder John Lorgee came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Kingwood pitcher Mao-you Mi, he hit a full count cutter for a run-scoring double. It was a game-changer, putting Okanagan on top, 3-2.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Lorgee.
