| Sting Get Road Win, 5-3 | The Houston Sting topped the Westside Road Warriors, 5-3, with youngster Matt Hudson playing a key role. Hudson went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Sting in the win. Tom LeGrand got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. The Sting, now 3-10, have not found much traction so far in 2038.
Lupe Vazquez aided the Houston cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the third baseman was 2-5 with a double.
