| Emeralds Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras | The Eugene Emeralds topped the Houston Sting, 5-2, in Donnie Moore League action at Woodland Park. The player of the game was Eugene pitcher and Jecheon, South Korea native Jung-sang Lee. Eugene reliever Raul Parada picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Dave Lopez was saddled with the loss. The Sting, now 2-10, continue their slow start.
The Emeralds got a big at-bat from third baseman Alejandro Moreno. For the game, Moreno was 1-2. In the top of the 13th, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 1st hit of the season gave Eugene a 3-2 lead.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Lee.
