| 5-Hit Game for Littlepage | No matter what the Winfield Warriors threw at him today, Howard Littlepage hit it. He easily handled Warriors pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Vikings to a 9-5 triumph at The Barn.
"The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.
Told of Littlepage's quip, Warriors skipper Johnny Vallance said he "would take him up on that next time."
Howard Littlepage tripled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
To date this year Littlepage is batting .333 with 1 home run. |
