| Kings Lose, 5-2, at Billy Mathews Field | St. Petersburg and Atlantic City took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
The St. Petersburg Pelicans topped the Atlantic City Kings, 5-2, in Donnie Moore League action at Billy Mathews Field. The player of the game was St. Petersburg pitcher Pedro Mendez. The Pelicans keep rolling, raising their record to 7-4.
Pat Titus aided the St. Petersburg cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1-1.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said St. Petersburg skipper Dennis Inman.
