| Kings Win at St. Petersburg, 5-4 | The Atlantic City Kings did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the St. Petersburg Pelicans at Billy Mathews Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Forbes Raynor, who captured player of the game honors. The winning pitcher was Raynor, now 1-0. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 6. John Ketchum earned his 1st save in 1 tries.
Antonio Mendoza aided the Atlantic City cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth. For the game, the catcher drove in 2 runs.
