| 8-6 Win by Princes Continues Hot Start | The Bel Air Princes beat the Bethesda Hornets, 8-6, at Philip Banks Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of designated hitter Javy Perez, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The winner was Dave Gershenson, who threw 104 pitches over 6 innings. The right-hander was charged with 1 run on 2 hits. Bel Air is off to a hot start at 6-2.
Juan Canales went 1 for 3 with a walk and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs for Bel Air. The 25-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Jesus Siguenza. It was his 4th RBI of the season.
"It was a solid team effort," said Perez after the game.
